Best lategame Mining Pals in Palworld
Digtoise
Digtoise is the first Pal you’ll encounter with Mining Lv3, and it has the added benefit of being accessible relatively early if you visit the smaller desert area. It isn’t too difficult to capture, so you’ll only need basic Pal Spheres.
Having some great Pals for mining is all fine and dandy, but you’ll want to make sure you’ve got some of the best Pals for Transporting as well. Transporting Pals will help you get your base in order and move all of your goods where they need to be. An organized Palworld base is a happy Palworld base.
Digtoise’s partner skill allows it to mine Ore very quickly if you have it in your party, though it’s best suited to stay at a base designed for Mining Ore efficiently. As a bonus, you can also get Ore when you catch a Digtoise.
- Element: Ground
- Partner Skill: Drill Crusher
- Work Suitability: Mining Lv3
- Possible Drops: Ore, High Quality Pal Oil
- Hunger: 5/10
Reptyro
You can find Reptyro in the volcano area in Palworld, making it difficult to get early on. Still, your efforts are worthwhile, as this scorching beast can easily mine Ore and other deposits.
Unlike Digtoise, you’ll need more preparation to add a Reptyro to your roster, as you’ll need a better-quality Pal Sphere to catch it and the means to survive in the hostile environment where this beast appears.
- Element: Fire/Ground
- Partner Skill: Ore-Loving Beast
- Work Suitability: Kindling Lv3, Mining Lv3
- Possible Drops: Flame Organ
- Hunger: 5/10
Reptyro Cryst
Ice Reptyro swaps out its Fire Element for Ice and is just as capable of Mining Ore and other deposits as its Fire counterpart, while its Partner Skill gives you greater efficiency when you’re Mining and riding on the beast.
Again, though, Ice Reptyro is best suited for working in bases built around Mining, and due to the Cooling Work Suitability it boasts, it’s a great choice if you decide to build a base in the desert or the volcano to mine Coal or Sulfur.
- Element: Ice/Ground
- Partner Skill: Ice-Loving Beast
- Work Suitability: Mining Lv3, Cooling Lv3
- Possible Drops: Ice Organ
- Hunger: 5/10
Menasting
Menasting is another Pal that boasts Mining Lv3 Work Suitability but is one of the hardest to get a hold of because so far, I’ve only been able to find this Pal as an Alpha—meaning you’ll face a hell of a fight to take it down.
As well as being a great Palworld party member and boosting your defense with its partner skill, Menasting is also highly efficient at mining. It thrives when deployed at a base constructed with that particular task in mind.
- Element: Dark/Ground
- Partner Skill: Steel Scorpion
- Work Suitability: Lumbering Lv2, Mining Lv3
- Possible Drops: Coal, Venom Gland
- Hunger: 7/10
Anubis
The last of the Pals boasts Mining Lv3 Work Suitability. Catching an Anubis is difficult due to its location in the harsh desert environment and the fact it’s an Alpha Pal. But your efforts are richly rewarded.
Alongside Mining, Anubis is also capable of helping with construction and transporting materials, making it a very effective member of a base built around Mining. It can help mine ore, move materials as required, and assist with any building work you need.
- Element: Ground
- Partner Skill: Guardian of the Desert
- Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv4, Transporting Lv2, Mining Lv3
- Possible Drops: Bone, Large Pal Soul, Innovative Technical Manual
- Hunger: 6/10
On top of being handy for mining, Anubis has a base Handiwork of four, the highest in Palworld. So, Anubis is extremely valuable and well-rounded, even when you disregard mining.
Sootseer
Sootseer is one of the tougher new Pals in the Sakurajima update to find since it’s only available in a small region of the new island at night. While you shouldn’t attempt to catch it until you’re at least Level 35, the benefits of having Sootseer are numerous.
On top of its decent Mining suitability, Sootseer also has suitabilities in Kindling, Handiwork, Gathering, and Farming, making it a Pal with a diverse array of uses. Combine that with Sootseer’s unique partner skill Tomb Raider which makes it the only Pal that can farm Bone and this is a Pal you want on your catch checklist.
- Element: Fire/Dark
- Partner Skill: Tomb Raider
- Work Suitability: Kindling Lv3, Mining Lv2, Handiwork Lv2, Gathering Lv1, Farming Lv1
- Possible Drops: Medium Pal Soul, Bone, Crude Oil
- Hunger: 7/10
Best early-game Mining Pals in Palworld
Cattiva
Cattiva is a calm and collected kitty, but it’s also one of your best Pals’ early doors when Mining those first groups of materials and resources. It only has Lv1 Mining capabilities, but that’s all you need to get started in Palworld.
Even though Cattiva is quite a diverse worker possessing Handiwork, Gathering, and Transporting skills, like a normal cat, it can be lazy and not do much!
- Element: Neutral
- Partner Skill: Cat Helper
- Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv1, Gathering Lv1, Mining Lv1, Transporting Lv1
- Possible drops: Red Berries
- Hunger: 2/10
Rushoar
If you’re not a cat fan or aficionado, then you might be more inclined to lean toward Rushoar. It has the Level 1 Mining trait, and while this is the only work that Rushar can do, it’s also an aggressive Pal.
Rushoar is no-nonsense and will insert itself into any nearby conflict—handy for protecting your base. It also has the Hard Head ability, meaning it’s a Pal you can ride and can easily destroy boulders, earning you more Ore in the process and securing you an Ore Farm faster in Palworld.
- Element: Ground
- Partner Skill: Hard Head
- Work Suitability: Mining Lv1
- Possible Drops: Rushoar Pork, Leather, Bone
- Hunger: 3/10
Penking
Cattiva and Rushoar will get the ball rolling, but you want to prioritize the only Penking when it comes to Mining in the game’s early hours. Penking can be found in the earlier hours of your journey and boasts impressive Level 2 Mining skills.
That’s not all, though. Penking is adept at many things, including Level 2 Watering, Handiwork, Cooling, and Transporting. He’s big and blue and can be one of your best pals once you can obtain one for your team.
- Element: Water/Ice
- Partner Skill: Brave Sailor
- Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv2, Transporting Lv2, Watering Lv2, Mining Lv2, Cooling Lv2
- Possible Drops: Ice Organ, Penking Plume
- Hunger: 8/10
