Your favorite Baldur’s Gate characters are heading to Stardew Valley in new mod—yes, even Astarion

Take my money.

Baldur’s Gate 3 and Stardew Valley is crossing over in an incredible new fan-made mod now dubbed “Baldur’s Village.” The mod includes a new map and many characters from BG3 as residents, with Astarion and Halsin being eligible for marriage.

The team today revealed the progress of the BG3 x Stardew Valley mod as well as all the new features now expected to be included, ranging from a new store and BG3 characters to updated schedules, designs, and seasonal outfits. And, on top of all those reveals, it now looks like the patch will land in Fall or Winter, as reported by PC Gamer.

Baldur’s Village was first announced earlier this year, where the mods showcased all early completed artwork and the characters they were bringing to life—including Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, and Halsin. Since then, they’ve doubled the map size, added more NPCs tied to characters (like Astarion’s siblings and Shadowheart’s parents), created more seasonal outfits, and made both Astarion and Halsin able to marry. (I just know that last one is going to be the real winner in this update.)

XunHe, one of the modders, also mentioned the team will add more marriageable NPCs further down the road, with players asked to vote on who they’d like to see added on the mod Patreon page. The team has yet to add a poll, but if you’re interested in the mod and want more romanceable options, that’s where to vote when it does go live.

The mod won’t drop for a long while, but many fans are already claiming it “looks amazing” while others have declared it may “actually get [them] to play Stardew Valley again.” The team has received some early complaints too, but hopefully this won’t stop them from working hard on making Baldur’s Village.

I, for one, will definitely be playing the mod when it drops later this year—a Baldur’s Gate x Stardew Valley crossover is a match made in heaven.
