How to get the Qeziigural mount in Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV has done it again, dropping another highly coveted mount in the latest 7.05 patch of the Dawntrail expansion. In patch 7.05, alongside the introduction of the Arcadion Savage and the Cenote Ja Ja Gural Treasure Dungeon, the Qeziigural mount became a symbol of achievement within the community. 

As soon as the update went live, players rushed to figure out how to get their hands on this fantastical mount. The Qeziigural mount is a unique one with a dazzling design and is already highly sought-after. But as is often the case in FFXIV, getting your hands on this beauty is no walk in the park. If you’re up for the challenge, here’s what you need to know.

How to unlock the Qeziigural mount in FFXIV

1. Start by speaking to Uah’shepya in Solution Nine (X:9, Y:14). You’ll need to exchange three Twilight Gemstones for the Qeziigural under the Sublime Curiosities category.

2. The only way to earn the Twilight Gemstones for free in Dawntrail is by completing the Cenote Ja Ja Gural Treasure Dungeon three times.

3. To gain access to Cenote Ja Ja Gural, first complete any 8-man Treasure Maps in the Dawntrail area. Once you secure the treasure, there’s a chance a portal will appear, transporting you to the dungeon.

4. Inside Cenote Ja Ja Gural, you and your party will face a series of rooms, each containing a treasure chest and two doors. Choose the correct door to progress; choose incorrectly, and you’ll be booted from the dungeon. Unfortunately, this correct door is completely random.

5. Upon reaching the fifth room, you’ll encounter a boss. Defeat it to obtain a Twilight Gemstone.

6. Collect three Twilight Gemstones by successfully completing the dungeon three times.

7. Once you’ve gathered the required gemstones, return to Uah’shepya in Solution Nine to exchange them for the Qeziigural Horn.

For those who prefer a less RNG-dependent route, the Twilight Gemstones can also be purchased on the Marketboard, though expect to pay a hefty price. Additionally, trading items with other players might be an option if you’re lucky enough to find someone willing to part with the gemstones.

The Qeziigural mount is a true test of patience and perseverance, but for those willing to take on the challenge, it’s a prize surely worth the effort. Whether you’re grinding through dungeons or scouring the Marketboard, adding this mount to your collection will be a memorable achievement.
