Mickey's being a bit tricky with this one.

Cooking up this dish is easy enough once you actually know the name of the recipe you’re looking for. Mickey Mouse makes this task seem a lot tougher than it is, so here’s how to cook Hot Dogs for Mickey in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Although the Use Your Imagination: Mickey quest calls for Hot Dogs, you can’t actually make this item because what he really needs is Toon Dogs. This makes the task seem impossible to finish if you don’t know what you’re looking for, but now that you do, cooking the right recipe for him is easy enough.

How to make Toon Dogs in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To make the black and white version of Hot Dogs called Toon Dogs that Mickey needs for the Hot Dog Stand, you need:

  • Two Pork
  • Two Poultry
  • Two Venison
  • Two Wheat
  • Two Toon Sauce

You need two of each item since Mickey Mouse is asking for two Hot Dogs in total. You can get all three types of meat from Gaston’s Stall after you unlock Gaston. Wheat can be grown and harvested from anywhere in the valley after you purchase Wheat Seeds from the Peaceful Meadow.

The last ingredient is Toon Sauce, which Mickey Mouse previously gave you before sending you off to look for a recipe that doesn’t really exist. Even though you made Toon Dogs instead of ordinary Hot Dogs, he’ll still be happy with the results when you bring them back to him, which means you can now throw the loaded Hot Dog Stand into the rift to close it.

If you want to explore some more culinary delights, it’s worth working on unlocking Tiana so she can bring her chef expertise to the island. You’ll also need to know how to complete A Taste for Literature and Back from the Bayou to unlock her restaurant and stall.
