The Umbracrux is a new weapon introduced in Diablo 4 season five. There’s a specific way to farm for it, which we’ve explained below.
Several new Unique items were introduced in the Season of the Infernal Hordes, Diablo 4‘s last seasonal update before the Vessel of Hatred DLC releases on Oct. 8.
For Rogues, The Umbracrux immediately surges to the top of the list of the best Uniques available. With this weapon, Subterfuge skills create an attachable Shade Totem for three to eight seconds, which replicates any damage dealt onto surrounding enemies at 20 percent effectiveness. If this sounds like something you need, we’ve broken down the best ways to get The Umbracrux here.
Where to get The Umbracrux in Diablo 4
The Umbracrux is one of the new Unique items in season five that have higher drop rates in the Infernal Hordes. As you’d expect, however, this drop isn’t guaranteed, and it’s down to RNG.
The best way to farm for The Umbracrux in Diablo 4 is to open the Spoils of Hell found at the end of the Infernal Hordes. To get these chests, complete all the waves in the Infernal Horde and defeat the three resurrected Fell Council members.
Infernal Hordes are not available immediately, however. To unlock them, complete The Eyes of the Enemy quest in World Tier 3. The quest provides an Infernal Compass upon completion, which you can use to access Infernal Hordes.
Additional Infernal Compasses are available as random drops from Whisper Caches, Helltide Chests, Nightmare Dungeons, or within Infernal Hordes. You can also use Sigil Powder and Forgotten Souls to craft Infernal Compasses at the Occultist.
