Hell's changing in season 11.

Aside from gameplay changes and quality-of-life improvements, Diablo 4 season 11 will add new seasonal powers, Divine Gifts, a seasonal questline, a battle pass, and more. With that said, here’s everything we know about the game’s season 11 so far, including its release date and content offerings.

When is Diablo 4 Season 11 release date?

Diablo 4 season 11 kicks off on Dec. 9, 2025—right on time for the holiday season. You can expect the server downtime to end at 10am PT / 1pm EDT. Like most Diablo seasons, season 11 should last three months and conclude approximately on Feb. 10, 2026.

Arguably, the most significant change in Diablo 4 season 11 is coming to the itemization system, particularly in how tempering and masterworking work. From season 11 onwards, you will be able to select the affix you want to apply to your gear, instead of praying to the RNG gods for the desired ones via random rolls. The downside is that you can only apply one tempered affix to an item.

As for masterworking, it will no longer increase your gear’s affix value; instead, it will improve its quality. Both these itemization changes should alter how endgame buildcrafting works in Diablo 4, for better or worse.

Unlike Path of Exile 1&2, Diablo 4 has always been a more casual-friendly ARPG, though that could be changing in season 11 as Blizzard aims to make enemies tougher. Monster Affixes will become more powerful, forcing you to invest more into your character’s defense.

In addition to these key gameplay changes, Diablo 4 season 11 also overhauls potions and the renown system. Base potion capacity is being reduced to 4. On the bright side, you’ll regenerate potions every 30 seconds. Furthermore, for some inexplicable reason, potions are now part of your overall health, so healing potion upgrades are nullified.

Moving forward, Renown is only permanent in the Eternal Realm, whereas the seasonal realm progress is tied to the new Season Rank system–another initiative to increase challenge. Capstone Dungeons are also returning and are mandatory obstacles for increasing Season Rank.

Diablo 4 season 11 also brings a new endgame activity, The Tower, as a beta feature. It’s a time-gated, slay-it-all game mode where you fight for loot and a spot at the leaderboard. Mechanically, it looks similar to the game’s Gauntlet mode.

These are some of the changes coming to Diablo 4 in season 11. You might also want to check out Blizzard’s blog post on the future of Diablo 4 and get a sneak peek at the extensive list of changes coming to the game.
