Astro Bot Creamy Canyon: All Bot, Puzzle Piece, and gold secret exit locations

The cream of the crop.

Creamy Canyon is one of the earliest levels in Astro Bot. It ends up being one of the trickiest in the whole game when hunting down every Bot, Puzzle Piece, and secret exit—but we’ve found them all.

Team Asobi is notorious for sneakily hiding collectibles in plain sight. It was common in Astro Bot Rescue Mission and continued in Astro’s Playroom, and makes collectible hunting a ton of fun and adds longevity.

You’re bound to stumble with at least one collectible in Astro Bot‘s Creamy Canyon—I initially did—and this picture guide shows you where every obtainable item is scattered.

All Creamy Canyon Bot locations in Astro Bot

The first bot location in Creamy Canyon is at the beginning of the level. When you land, you can see Solid Snake hanging from a tree on the left side. Approach the tree, perform a basic attack on it, and the bot falls, allowing you to seamlessly rescue it.

Bot location two

Staying in this area, the second bot is way over on the right-hand side, and you need to drop down a ladder to reach the icy path. Skate to the end (avoiding the icicles) and you’ll find bot two out in the open, holding onto a snowman for dear life.

Bot location three

Progress through the level until you reach the platform shown in the screenshot above. Again, strike the red enemy to turn it upside down, and either use it to reach Psycho Mantis directly, or climb onto the platform with the ice sculpture (more on this later) and spring toward the bot to knock them down.

Bot location four

Bot four is easily the hardest to find in Creamy Canyon, and it took me three attempts. After bot three, carry on and progress through the linear path, and shortly after, you should reach a platform with sprinkles and a charging pink enemy. Use the enemy to smash the ice block to reveal a glowing blue cross in the area shown above. Hold down square to charge up Astro’s spin attack, and he burrows his way underground. Strike the red enemy down here to give you easy access to the fourth bot dangling from the wall.

Bot location five

Bot five requires you to trigger a checkpoint, then smash a red bug into an ice wall. After four coins appear, you can simply drop down the ladder to your right, and use a charged spin attack on another glowing blue cross. Use the three red bugs in the icy cavern below to smash all the ice out of the way, and Gray Fox is on a platform in the middle of the room.

Bot location six

You return to the surface after using the yellow trampoline in bot five’s location, and you need to make use of the red enemies again—but this time to smash the ice blockade out of the way. It requires a bit of timing, but shouldn’t cause you too much trouble, and once you’ve managed it, use a red bug to bounce to the top of the newly revealed platform and bring home bot six.

Bot location seven

After you trigger the final Creamy Canyon checkpoint, another couple of glacial obstacles obstruct your path. Use a red enemy one last time to remove them, climb the ramp, throw the pink enemy at the large enemy blocking the end of the level, and make bot seven appear—you can’t miss them.

In the first area where you found bot one, two enemies are attacking a snowman. Defeat them and pull the wire that appears after destroying the snowman. Puzzle piece one appears, so grab it.

Puzzle piece three is practically unavoidable here. It’s in bot three’s location, and you use the red bug to climb up and get it—killing two birds with one stone.

Using bot six as our final Puzzle Piece guide, the collectible is flying around high above in circles, so use those trusty red bugs we love so much to reach it.

Creamy Canyon secret exit pad in Astro Bot

The Creamy Canyon secret exit requires you to smash the ice sculpture found behind Puzzle Piece two and head into the new area it opens up.

To do this, use the pink pig enemy in the first screenshot—the one we used for bot location four. Turn around and aim at the ice sculpture, wait for a lock-on indicator, and throw the enemy at the sculpture. Head up to the platform where the sculpture was, burrow down into the revealed blue cross, and the secret exit area is at the bottom.
