How to defeat 7 enemies with the Tripcaster in Astro Bot

Trip them up.

Astro Bot has a bunch of trophies for you to collect, and most of them are pretty straightforward. There are trophies, though, like What a Trip!, that require knowledge of one of Playstation’s latest IPs to know what you’re getting yourself into.

It’s one of the later achievements you can get, as the level you need to enter is the last one before taking on the final boss or the ten secret worlds you can get through warp portals in levels. But if things are confusing you, or you don’t know what a Tripcaster is, let us explain so you can get the trophy done and move on to the next one.

You need to head to the level of Machine Learning, which is the final level you unlock in Astro Bot’s fifth world, Feather Cluster. It is the level inspired by Horizon Zero Dawn, where you take on the form of an Aloy Bot to go around and collect Bots and puzzle Pieces and take in the special world with your trusty bow.

Around halfway into the level, you come across a series of purple wires on the floor. These are the Tripcasters you are after, but to get the achievements, it’s important to know a few things. First, if you use your hover ability when jumping over them, the Tripcasters break and don’t respawn.

There is also a set number of enemies here, and if you accidentally kill one and the Tripcasters don’t, you might need to restart the level and return to the spot. Equally, if you die, the number for the trophy resets, and you’ll need to find another seven enemies, which might cause you to reset the level.

To get the trophy, you need to have the enemies chase you while jumping over the rope to get them to be killed. You can also die to the Tripcasters, so time your jumps well if you don’t want to meet a nasty fate. If you have all the enemies chase you and do everything correctly, you should get the trophy easily and can exit out of the level to go onto your next trophy hunt in search of that precious Platinum at the end of it all.

It was one of the last trophies I got, and I didn’t even know about it because it is a secret trophy, so hopefully, this guide helps you in some way.
