Ninja ranked higher than Ronaldo, LeBron, and Shaq in social media interactions in April

The rise of Ninja knows no bounds.

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has another accolade to add to his long list of accomplishments in 2018. In April, he was ranked number one on a list for social media interactions of professional athletes.

The list includes world famous superstar athletes and Ninja came in at the top spot—and it wasn’t even really that close. Second on the list of interactions was soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, whose 318.9 million total followers dwarf Ninja’s four million.

The total number of followers matters very little in engagement, though. Ninja had 150.3 million interactions between those four million followers, compared to Ronaldo’s 139.3 million. Cricket player Virat Kohli is in a distant third place with 43.1 million interactions.

Also on the list is NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. While Shaq might have Ninja beaten in height, the Fortnite streamer’s social media presence towers over the former Los Angeles Laker, as Shaq’s 28.9 million followers garnered 34.3 million interactions.

The fact that Ninja is getting more attention than world famous professional athletes is impressive no matter how you look at it. A large number of athletes on the list are global soccer stars, but it also includes the likes of NBA star LeBron James (14th place), wrestler Ronda Rousey (25th place), and skateboarder Tony Hawk (47th place).

These are names that are known the world over. Apparently, Ninja has joined their ranks, at least when it comes to young people and the generation of social media.

Not only that, but the growth has been substantial, as he climbed from the third spot on the list in March. In February, he was ranked at 59. No other esports or gaming personalities made the list.
