Our Chance to Strike has several up-front requirements, so it won’t pop up immediately for you in Dornogal.

To start, you need to reach Renown level four with every major faction in Khaz Algar, which includes the Council of Dornogal, The Assembly of the Deeps, Hallowfall Arathi, and The Severed Threads. These Renown requirements are part of the quest Renown of Khaz Algar.

Doing world quests and defeating rare elites in the appropriate zones is the easiest way to speed up the Renown process. Other tasks, like the Awakening the Machine scenario for The Assembly of the Deeps, can provide a large chunk of Renown, too.

Make sure your character is max level. Our Chance to Strike takes place in Azj-Kahet, so being level 80 will help you deal with any nearby mobs efficiently.

You also need to complete the first chapter of the max-level campaign for The War Within, which unlocks once you hit 80. This chapter is Against the Current, and it’s quick to finish, taking place entirely in Dornogal.

The Renown requirements make up part of this, as Renown of Khaz Algar is one of the quests in the required list. After Surface Bound and Renown of Khaz Algar, the other quests to finish are:

  • The Fleet Arrives
  • Embassies and Envoys
  • What’s Hidden Beneath Dornogal
  • Preparing for the Unknown
  • Urban Odyssey

As soon as you tick these off your list, Webster—pictured above appears in Dornogal with the Our Chance to Strike quest available for you. All that the quest asks is that you go to the Royal Apothecary and meet with Executor Nizrek to discuss the downfall of the Queen.

Completing Our Chance to Strike is quick and easy, as it’s a simple messenger quest. If you’ve already unlocked flight paths to Azj-Kahet—or even the portal from the city of Dornogal—then you can get to the location in no time.

Hop on your flying mount of choice and head to Azj-Kahet. Go to the City of Threads and look for the Royal Apothecary, the large, hexagonal structure south of the Umbral Bazaar.

Keep an eye out for treasures as you fly through the City of Threads. This bustling city has a fair few rare spawns dotted around, which can prove useful and valuable, especially if you’re leveling up your professions. We found several Herbalism and Skinning treasures in the city.

Inside, speak to Executor Nizrek to complete the quest. Once Our Chance to Strike wraps up, you immediately get the quest called The Beginning of the End, which leads onto the elusive To Kill a Queen quest that you need to access the story mode Nerub-ar Palace Queen Ansurek fight.
