How to get Primordial Stones in WoW Dragonflight

Get ready to farm.

World of Warcraft Dragonflight patch 10.0.7 will not only bring players to an entirely new region in the Forbidden Reach, but will also introduce several new gameplay elements for players to learn and master. The Onyx Annulet is a best-in-slot ring that players will receive shortly after entering the Zskera Vaults.

The Onyx Annulet, like other items, can be customized and upgraded by slotting a new resource called Primordial Stones. Each Primordial Stone has its own unique buff that can specialize the Onyx Annulet, making it an extremely versatile tool in a player’s arsenal. Though the Onyx Annulet itself is a valuable piece of loot, the Primordial Stones are truly what make the ring-item useful.

Given that the update is still relatively recent, many players are unsure of where to acquire Primordial Stones to upgrade their Onyx Annulets, or which Stones they should pursue. This is everything we currently know about getting Primordial Stones.

Where to find Primordial Stones in Dragonflight

After acquiring the Onyx Annulet in the Zskera Vaults, players can search for Primordial Stones to slot into the unique ring for distinct upgrades. Players can slot in a total of three Primordial Stones into the Onyx Annulet. There are three total methods through which players can obtain Primordial Stones, though only one directly rewards players with the item.

First, players can acquire Primoridal Stones by running the Zskera Vault. Most rooms in the Zskera Vault will hold a large chest that contain a number of Primordial Stones as well as fragments which can be used to craft Primordial Stones. Running through just several rooms should vastly increase your collection of Primordial Stones.

Alternatively, players can also earn a resource called Condensed Magic Tokens by participating in Forbidden Reach content. Players can earn this currency-like item by slaying rare mobs, opening chests, completing Primal Storm events, and participating in other such tasks.

Condensed Magic comes in seven different types, ranging from Arcane to Shadow Magic. After earning enough Condensed Magic Tokens, players can use the currency to create a Primordial Stone of the same type. For example, Condensed Earth Magic can be used to create an Earth-type Primordial Stone.

Finally, players can break down their already-acquired Primordial Stones into Dormant Primordial Fragments at the blacksmithing table in Morqut Village. These fragments can in turn be used to either purchase more Stones from Researcher Imareth, or upgrade your current slotted Primordial Stones.
