TFT Patch 14.17 patch notes – Massive Augment, item, and champion balance changes

Prepare for the competive meta.

Patch 14.17 is the second official Teamfight Tactics update since the launch of Magic n’ Mayhem, featuring nerfs and buffs from the balance team as the devs try to level out the Set 12 meta.

Heading into the first Magic n’ Mayhem Tactician Cup tournament, the TFT balance team dropped the 14.16 B-patch in an attempt to tone down overpowered traits and champions without balance thrashing the meta. But the B-patch was only the beginning.

Patch 14.17 is the first of “two big patches,” according to game design director Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer from the Patch Rundown. The goals were to increase the playability of various traits and champions while adjusting Augments and items. Size-wise, Patch 14.17 is massive, and that doesn’t include the addition of Tocker’s Trials. Here are all the balance changes from TFT Set 12 Patch 14.17, per Riot.
