As Starfield approaches its second year of life, Bethesda has rolled out another major update for the game, and while this one doesn’t contain any new content, there is plenty to be excited about.
The biggest thing that Starfield players have been asking for since day one is fixes to the many bugs and issues present in the game—and some of those fixes are finally here. That’s not all; there are also some quality-of-life changes that those still playing—and those eager to try the spacefaring game—will truly appreciate.
If you’re still rocking Starfield in March 2024 here is a look at everything added to the game with Patch 1.10.31.
Starfield March 19 patch notes
Starfield Patch 1.10.31 finally removes the penalty for undoing Digipicks so you’ll be able to take your time and work to open locks freely now. There are also several changes to Photo Mode and a huge list of bug fixes.
Some of the other neat changes to come from this patch include the ability to open doors and harvest materials without needing to put away your scanner. One reason you might want to do this is quests which can now be activated just by setting course to them.
The Bethesda team has also added an auto-save point right before you fast travel from a planet to orbit which should give players a good point to hop back in if the game crashes or other game-related issues prevent the move between worlds.
That’s all of the major additions made with the Starfield patch on March 19, but there is a heap of bug fixes. To get you looped in we’ve got the full list of changes courtesy of Bethesda, but get ready to spend some time reading as there’s a lot to take in.
