The Stardew Valley community never fails to amaze, and one fan recently unveiled a huge LEGO replica of the game’s beloved Pelican Town. Complete with many NPC houses and game locations, the recreation was displayed at the BrickCon exhibition in Seattle, Washington.
The 75,000-piece build was the brainchild of Steve Jensen, a fan working on it since 2022. The replica featured several iconic locations from the game, including Marnie’s Ranch with its silos, the Wizard’s Tower, The Stardrop Saloon, Willy’s Fish Shop, and JojaMart.
The town square, surrounded by Pierre’s General store and the Hospital, stood out with its unique stone-like flooring, as did the Community Center with its vines and overgrown plants, displaying impeccable accuracy and staying true to the game.
The model also gave viewers a peek into the depth of the Stardew Valley map, as everything from trees, buildings, sewers, and tunnels to the town’s terrain and NPCs themselves were depicted in 3D, which is something we don’t often get to see due to the game’s 2D pixel-art design. The town bus was another standout feature of the build, being completely motorized and moving up and down the road using LEGO magnets.
Jensen rounded off the build with a large panel featuring the game’s name, assembled to mirror the main title screen down to the last detail, with the sky, leaves and crooked letters of the logo on a wooden sign.
The Stardew Valley LEGO build was the belle of the ball at the convention, and was awarded the BrickCon 2024 People’s Choice award. Popular LEGO content creator Beyond the Brick also featured his build in a YouTube short as well as on TikTok and Instagram, where these clips have collectively garnered more than 500k views. Jensen himself posted on Instagram the next day, thanking people for coming to see and voting for his creation, and adding that winning the award felt “like a dream.”
