How to get the Secret Garden Key and solve the puzzle in Blue Prince

The Secret Garden in Blue Prince is a rare room you can’t find without the special key, and it has a puzzle that holds the answer to opening the locked antechamber room to reach the final room. But it is difficult to stumble upon the key, so we’ve a guide for you to find and use the Secret Garden key in the game. 

How to get and use the Secret Garden Key in Blue Prince

You can find the Secret Garden Key in Trunks, which have a random chance of spawning in bedrooms and other rooms. I found two Trunks in the Bunk Room, and that’s where I came across the Secret Garden Key in one of the chests. The key is a very rare spawn, so it only appears in a few chests. The best way to get it would be to search rooms with locked Trunks and open them up to find the Secret Garden Key. My chest with the special key only contained that reward, so you won’t get anything else, like gold, from it once you find it.

You can’t use the Secret Garden Key to open Trunks or regular doors, unlike the regular keys. To use it, make your way to the eastern rooms until you find a locked room. Once you try to open the drafting menu to select the room, you will get the Secret Garden room, a rare green room with a fruit spread. Select that, and you can use your Secret Garden Key here to open the door and enter the area. You won’t be able to use your normal keys here, so if you don’t have the special key, don’t draft it as it will just become a dead end in your run.

While opening the locked door, click on Special Keys and select your Secret Garden Key to unlock the door. Go inside the room where a puzzle awaits you. The room also allows you to spread fruits across the rooms in Blue Prince, which allows you to gain more steps in your run. 

How to solve the Secret Garden puzzle in Blue Prince

To solve the Secret Garden puzzle in Blue Prince, go to the fountain after entering the room. Once at the fountain, it should have a few directional sticks facing in random directions. Your goal is to make them all face the north direction, the smallest direction stick should already face north, and you can’t move it. To move the medium and the large stick, you need to use the spinning wheels on the ground on the sides of the fountain. 

The left side spinning wheel helps you rotate the medium-sized direction stick, and the right one does that for the biggest size direction stick. Once they’ve aligned in a straight line, facing the north direction, the moon statue on the wall should be replaced with a secret lever.

Make your way to the lever and pull it down to open the western side door of the Antechamber room. You can also spot the open door on the top of the lever. Now, you should draft a path to reach that door and go inside the Antechamber. If you try to enter the antechamber room from the other side, you can’t do that, and you’ll get a dead end.
