Hytale PC requirements: Minimum and recommended specs

Make sure your PC is prepared for the early-access in January.

Hytale’s developers have shared the official PC requirements ahead of the game’s early access release in January 2026, giving a clear idea of what kind of hardware you will need when setting off for Orbis. The studio explained that the specifications are based on “real in-house benchmarks and will continue to evolve” to make sure the game performs smoothly on common mid-range setups while still scaling well on stronger hardware.

The newly released breakdown outlines both minimum and recommended specs, covering CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage expectations so players can prepare their systems before launch. With early access less than a year away, many fans have been waiting to learn exactly how demanding Hytale would be.

Here’s everything you need to know about the PC system requirements for Hytale.

Hytale minimum specs

Hytale’s minimum requirements aim for a 1080p experience at roughly 30 FPS, and the hardware guidelines reflect that target. The studio confirmed that the baseline specs are built around processors from nearly eight years ago and graphics hardware that is even older, which signals that a wide range of PCs will be able to run the game at launch.

According to the developers, Hytale leans heavily on the CPU in most scenarios. In single-player, your machine handles both the game client and a full server simulation at the same time, which puts the processor in charge of world generation, NPC behavior, and all the underlying voxel systems, in addition to standard rendering. Here’s everything you’ll need to meet the minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 (version 1809) or 11
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (or equivalent)
  • RAM:
    • Singleplayer, with dedicated graphics: 8 GB
    • Singleplayer, with integrated graphics: 12 GB
    • Multiplayer-only: 8 GB
  • GPU:
    • Integrated:
      • Intel UHD Graphics 620
      • AMD Radeon Vega 6
    • Dedicated:
      • NVIDIA GTX 900 Series
      • AMD Radeon 400 Series
      • Intel Arc A-Series
  • Storage: 20 GB (SSD required)
  • DirectX version: 12
  • Network: 2 Mbit/s for multiplayer

If you’re aiming to run Hytale at 1080p with a steadier 60 FPS, the studio recommends moving up to a modern six-core processor and increasing system memory. This higher tier of hardware gives the game more breathing room during world generation and helps maintain smooth performance during busy moments.

Here’s the list of recommended specifications for Hytale to play it on the highest settings for the best visual experience:

  • OS: Windows 10 (version 1809) or 11
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (or equivalent)
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU:
    • Integrated:
      • Intel Iris Xe Graphics
      • AMD Radeon 660M
    • Dedicated:
      • NVIDIA GTX 900 Series
      • AMD Radeon 400 Series
      • Intel Arc A-Series
  • Storage: 20 GB (SSD required)
  • DirectX version: 12
  • Network: 8 Mbit/s for multiplayer

Recording and streaming specs

Hytale’s developers have also shared a dedicated set of requirements for players who plan to stream or record gameplay at 1440p and 60 FPS. This is aimed at creators who need enough overhead to capture footage smoothly while still keeping the game responsive during intense moments.

In their breakdown, the team encourages content creators to use updated codecs like AV1 whenever the hardware supports them. They explain that modern GPUs provide better video quality at lower bitrates, which helps maintain steady performance while recording or streaming high-resolution gameplay.

  • OS: Windows 10 (version 1809) or 11
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (or equivalent)
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 30 Series or AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series or Intel Arc A-series
  • Storage: 50 GB (SSD required)
  • DirectX version: 12
  • Network: 8 Mbit/s for multiplayer
