They all have serious battle royale experience.

Team SoloMid has entered Apex Legends with the signing of three players: Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen, Jose “ProdigyAces” Soto, and Taylor “THump” Humphries.

All three of the newly-signed players have histories in battle royale games, specifically coming from H1Z1. They all moved on to play Fortnite, with ProdigyAces and ImperialHal competing at PAX West and TwitchCon.

“From the very beginning of Apex Legends, we knew we wanted to represent a top tier organization,” the trio said in the announcement. “After discussing it amongst ourselves, we came to the conclusion that TSM was at the top of that long list, and we are honored and humbled to be joining TSM. We will do everything within our power to make all TSM fans proud of their Apex Legends roster.”

Many teams have signed Apex Legends rosters in the short time it has been released. The likes of 100 Thieves, Gen.G, Cloud9, G2 Esports, and PENTA Sports have all recruited promising squads without the game having an actual esports scene beyond community-run events.

This isn’t the only announcement Team SoloMid has made today regarding battle royale players. After allegations of he sent inappropriate messages to a 16-year old female streamer surfaced, Fortnite competitor Noah “Cowboy” Cmiel was released from the organization.
