Format
The format of the ALGS EWC 2025 takes place in three stages: Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3.
Stage 1 (July 10 and 11) is the Group Stage, where two groups of 20 teams will battle it out to secure the first slot in the finals. The top seven teams from each group will reach the Finals directly, while the bottom three teams will be eliminated. So, from Stage 1, we are getting 14 teams qualifying for the Finals.
Stage 2 (July 12) is the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier), where the losing teams from Stage 1 will get another chance to reach the Finals. The top six teams will reach the finals while the rest will get eliminated.
Stage 3 (July 13) marks the Finals, where the finalized 20 teams will fight under the Match Point Format, meaning there’s no match limit. The first team to hit 50 points and then secure a 1st place finish in upcoming matches will be the winners. The remaining teams will be ranked by total points awarded in the series.
