Apex Legends players will soon be able to report others in-game after a match ends, a Respawn developer has confirmed. The feature should be coming “in the next patch or two,” the developer said on a Reddit thread.
The developer hasn’t detailed how the report system will work, but it’ll apparently let players report more than hacking, cheating, and gameplay abuse. In the thread the developer replied to, a player complained about being verbally insulted by another player, and he was unable to report them because they had left the match already. “My mother was wished cancer and all bad stuff on my family because I picked a hero the person wanted. I wanted to report him however since he leaves the game as soon as possible, the squad place is empty.”

To report players today for any violations of rules or terms of service in Apex, players can either use the death screen shortcut to report their killer or go to the EA website and open a ticket. There’s no other quick and simple method inside the game, like a way to just click a player’s name and report them like in Overwatch and other similar games.
Despite the developer mentioning that this report system is close to release, we have no estimate date of arrival of the next Apex update. The last one released a week ago with the season one Battle Pass and a few changes to Legends. There hasn’t been any update this week so far, so players should probably expect this report system to still take a little while to be implemented and fully functional.
