What region will take the glory this time?

ALGS Split Two Playoffs are inbound—and this time we’re heading for Mannheim, Germany. 40 teams from six regions will compete in round-robin bracket stages to reach the finals. Weeks of scrim practice, comp experimentation, and adapting to season 22’s changes all factor into who will lift the trophy.

The ALGS Split Two Playoffs will start on Aug. 29, 2024 and conclude on Sept. 1, 2024. Only one team can be crowned, and while your money may be on NA’s super team, the latest comp meta may have something to say about who comes out on top.

Here is everything you need to know about the Apex Legends Global Series Split Two Playoffs.

ALGS Split 2 Playoffs – Participating teams

The transfer window of competitive Apex feels never-ending. But, the most notable changes in the leadup to this LAN are:

  • ImperialHal to Team Falcons with Zer0 and Genburten.
  • LG signed Sikezz.
  • TSM signed Zap.
  • Moist Esports signed iiTzTimmy.
  • FaZe and Gaimin Gladiators moved to EMEA.
  • Crazy Racoon and REJECT WINNITY KR partially swapped rosters.

Unfortunately, Effect cannot make this event due to visa issues, so TylerFPS will step in for Alliance instead. Here are all participating teams, groups, and their respective rosters heading into LAN.

Top storylines in the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs

The biggest storylines heading into the Split Two Playoffs are Team Falcons and Fnatic. Leading the Split Two Pro League scoreboard, these two powerhouses are almost guaranteed to reach the finals. All eyes are on the Apex super team, Falcons, but will they find a comp that matches their greatness, or is it time for APAC North to make a stand once again?

A dark horse in the event is Guild Esports. Former player and coach for Moist Esports, Emtee has grown strength after strength, putting APAC South into the driver’s seat. A force to be reckoned with at EWC, Guild may have what it takes to snatch the title away from the other regions. Speaking of Moist Esports, the pick up of iiTzTimmy has proven to be powerful in scrims, but can their success transcend to the big stage?

Winners of the longest LAN in Apex history, all eyes may be on Alliance this time round. Though Effect cannot make this event, momentum may be on Hakis and Unlucky’s side following their EWC victory.

Crypto, Wattson, and Newcastle may be amongst the top picked legends this LAN, and as REJECT WINNITY won the last ALGS LAN on triple mouse and keyboard, it could be the perfect time for Legends Gaming to show up and show out.
