If you're wondering where Choppas are in Fortnite Remix, we've got all the details you need.

Fortnite Remix is rolling back the years with some familiar landmarks, weapons, and vehicles. If you’re having trouble finding a helicopter, aka Choppa, we’ve got all the details you need.

Aerial vehicles in Fortnite were absent for the entirety of Chapter Five, but Fortnite Remix has opened the door for their return. Boats and lowriders are also available across the map, giving you a variety of vehicles to get behind the wheel of.

However, helicopters are a different breed and much rarer than a standard car or boat. If you’ve been searching high and low for a way to get into the air but just can’t find what you’re looking for, here’s how to find helicopters in Fortnite Remix.

Helicopters, aka Choppas, can be found at specific locations across the island, and you can often find them on landing pads (although not every Choppa is on a landing pad). They’re quite rare and have been vaulted and unvaulted a feww times since the season began, so you may not have come across one yet.

When this season first began, only one helicopter was available in every Fortnite Remix match. The helicopter was on the snowy peaks south of Retail Row and west of Lazy Lake. Although it was there for a bit, this helicopter was then removed, perhaps because Epic Games decided that Choppas were too OP. Alongside the arrival of Eminem and his powerful Mythic RP Minigun that works great against aerial vehicles, helicopters officially returned on Oct. 7.

Since helicopters are officially back this season, there are now several located around the map—making air warfare a viable option for all if you know where to look.

There are 10 spots around the island you can visit to find helicopters in Fortnite Remix.

  • On Ice Isle. You can find this helicopter sitting on a landing pad near the northeast end of the run down mall and massive shark island that’s ruled by Ice Spice.
  • Underground at Pleasant Park. The massive soccer field in the middle of this area has been partially opened to reveal a secret underground area. Right in the center of this opening, there’s a landing pad with a helicopter you can grab.
  • Near the east end of The Rig. This helicopter is on a landing pad sticking out from the side of this POI. Watch out for Dynamo TNTina while you’re grabbing it if you haven’t defeated her already.
  • At The Doggpound. Near the south end of Snoop Dogg’s massive golden mansion, you’ll find a helicopter sitting on a landing pad.
  • At the Lazy Lake Island Landmark between Misty Meadows and Lazy Lake. There are two islands situated between these POIs, and you can find the helicopter sitting on the bigger island near the east end of this lake.
  • On The Yacht. The boat that’s occupied by Meowdas and his henchmen has a landing pad built into it. You can find it near the very south end of the boat. This one is especially useful for escaping from The Yacht when the storm is quickly rolling in, since this location is very far away from the rest of the island.
  • By Craggy Cliffs. You can find this one sitting between the Cliffs and the small FN Radio landmark. It’s not on a landing pad, and is instead situated on the grassy hill between these two locations.
  • Inside Spaghetti Grotto. This one is sitting on a landing pad right in the center of the massive circular opening that leads to Eminem’s underground restaurant, Mom’s Spaghetti.
  • At Retail Row. You can find this helicopter sitting on the roof of a building near the east end of the area. It’s on top of the shop with a giant fish that dances when you emote over it.
  • At the Weather Station landmark. It’s located south of Retail Row and one of the three base camps you can visit, sitting on a landing pad near the very edge of the mountain.

Since all of these spots are guaranteed to have a helicopter in every match, there are always 10 up for grabs. They can be destroyed or run out of fuel though, so it’s fairly likely you won’t ever see more than a few flying around at once. If you’re playing with friends or have an NPC boss at your side, this is a great vehicle to use since it fits up to five players at once and allows you to travel around very quickly.

While you’re working your way around the island to find a helicopter you can fly, keep your eye out for some secret items you can acquire to earn lots of XP. Hope’s Audio Logs and the Secret Gnomes are scattered all around the map, so it’s a good idea to work on obtaining them while you’re already venturing to new areas.
