How to start and complete the Torching Lights quest in WoW The War Within

Torching Lights is a short quest you can do in the Hallowfall zone in WoW The War Within, and it’s also a part of a bigger quest chain called Memories of the Sky.

As the second part of the quest chain, Torching Lights is a straightforward quest that you can do quickly to be one step closer to obtaining the Memories of the Sky achievement. So, here’s our full guide to start and complete Torching Lights quest in The War Within. 

How to start the Torching Lights quest in WoW The War Within

As a part of the Memories of the Sky questline, Torching Lights is the second quest you must complete to be one step closer to claiming the Sojourner of Hallowfall achievement. Before you start the Torching Lights quest, you must complete the first quest of this storyline, Runaway Scare-a-way. You get this quest from the NPC Maera Ashyld in Hallowfall at coordinates 60.5, 60.2—all you have to do is slay 25 Flickering Glowmoths in the area.

Once you complete that, Maera Ashyld will give you the Torching Lights quest and ask you to torch 15 Moth eggs in the same area where you killed those monsters. 

How to complete the Torching Lights quest in WoW The War Within

To complete the Torching Lights quest, just use your skyriding mount to fly on top of the giant plants in the nearby area. There, you’ll find a lot of Moth eggs that you need to burn with the Lamplighter Firearm, which is the quest item you get from Maera Ashyld. After you destroy 15 of those eggs, hand in the quest to Maera Ashyld, and while you’re done with this quest, you’ll have to do three more quests after this one to fullycomplete the Memories of the Sky questline.
