The Call of the Worldsoul quest has given players some grief thanks to it not showing up for their characters. Here’s how to start and complete The Call of the Worldsoul in World of Warcraft.

The Call of the Worldsoul is a weekly quest that is somewhat complicated to uncover, depending on where you are with your TWW journey. For the best chance of finding this quest, make sure that:

  • Your character is max level
  • You have completed the Renown of Khaz Algar quest from Moira Thaurissan (by getting every Renown track up to at least Renown level four)
  • You have finished the first chapter (at a minimum) of the endgame The War Within campaign, listed in the quest log as Against the Current

While the Worldsoul quest isn’t technically a max level weekly, meeting these requirements will set you on the right path to pick it up in Dornogal.

When you turn in Renown of Khaz Algar to Faerin Lothar in Dornogal, you will get The Call of the Worldsoul immediately after this. The quest icon will be blue, indicating that it’s a weekly.

How to complete The Call of the Worldsoul

Completing The Call of the Worldsoul will look slightly different depending on which path you take when picking up the quest for the first time.

The Call of the Worldsoul isn’t a linear quest—it actually contains four options for players to choose from based on their favorite types of content to complete. For example, our four options were:

  • World quests
  • Pact-oriented objectives
  • The Dawnbreaker dungeon
  • Awakening the Machine scenario

You get solid rewards regardless of your chosen path, so opt for the choice that aligns with your personal playstyle. We went with the world quests for our quest completion, and it tasked us with tackling six world quests.

World quest completion for The Call of the Worldsoul isn’t bound by zone, location, or quest type. You can finish anything from battling the Awakened Custodian to solving puzzles.

If there’s a particular Renown track you’re trying to farm out, it’s worth picking up world quests in the faction’s zone to pick up extra points, e.g., if you’re farming The Assembly of the Deeps Renown, head to The Ringing Deeps for your objectives.

When you finish up your Worldsoul tasks, head back to Dornogal and find Faerin Lothar by the planning table to turn in the quest.

As noted, some players are having trouble finding this weekly quest regularly and have been submitting bug reports.

There hasn’t been official confirmation for this, but it’s believed that this quest cycles with other weekly and meta quests in the area, like the Vault of Memory Archives series.

Depending on your character’s level, this can be an issue, as the Vault of Memory quests are level 80, but the Worldsoul quests are not. If you’ve completed The Call of the Worldsoul and can’t find it again, it’s worth checking whether other weekly quests are available in the area and, if so, whether they appear again the following week.
