If you've picked up the Chew On That quest in Hallowfall, you're hunting for Duskstem. Here's where to find it and turn it in.

In The War Within, there are plenty of quests dotted throughout the new zones, and for some of them, you need very specific items to complete them.

If you’ve just picked up the Chew On That quest, you need to know how to get Duskstem. Here’s where to find Duskstem Stalks and which NPC to turn them into to finish the quest quickly.

Hallowfall is somewhat reminiscent of the old Burning Crusade zone, Zangarmash, with its giant plants and mysterious atmosphere. To find Duskstem in The War Within, fly to Hallowfall from Dornogal, then grab your favorite flying mount and head to the north east area of the zone.

For Duskstem to spawn, you need to make sure you’re actively on the Chew On That quest. The plants will not show up for you if you’re not already on this questline. This is a level 80 quest, so if you’re not max level, you won’t be able to access the quest giver NPC or plants.

Taerry Bilgestone is the quest giver. This quest is part of the Beacon of Hope achievement that requires you to light lesser keyflames.

Head to Light’s Blooming right at the edge of the Hallowfall zone in order to find Duskstem to harvest. Look for the tall, leafy plants shown above—you won’t be able to get them from ground level or by climbing, so hop on a flying mount to pick them quickly.

The green plants work as a solid platform, so you can land your mount on them and harvest the Duskstem without falling off.

Look for thin plants that are red-orange in color. They usually grow right in the middle of the green plants, near the glowing center, but can be found further out on the edge of the petals.

Duskstem gives off a sparkle like it’s a Herbalism node, so you will be able to spot it from a distance.

The plant does pop up in other locations throughout Hallowfall, but the Light’s Blooming area has the most spawn points to choose from. If you’re on a highly populated server, this is the best place to check out before widening your search area.

How to use Duskstem

The Chew On That questline asks you to gather 20 Duskstem, so once you have enough, head back to Taerry Bilgestone and turn in the haul to complete the quest.

Chew On That awards you with 40 Resonance Crystals, 200 reputation with the Hallowfall Arathi faction, and a Lamplighter Satchel, along with a handful of gold.

These bags are a great way to stock up on Resonance Crystals, Carved Harbinger Crests, and Restored Coffer Keys. There’s also a small chance they’ll drop ilvl 400 green gear, making this a worthwhile quest to seek out if you haven’t already started it.
