How to dance with denizens of Undermine in WoW The War Within

Dancing with denizens of Undermine may seem simple, but you'll need to find the right WoW NPCs. Here's a guide on how to do it.

Some Worldsoul quests in World of Warcraft are easier than others to complete. With the introduction of the Undermine in Patch 11.1, a new addition to the quest roster became available—Worldsoul: Undermine Explorer.

Most of the sub-tasks in this quest are simple enough, tasking you with kicking a can or getting booted out of the Gallagio. Dancing with denizens of Undermine is somewhat tricky though, as it requires you to find the right NPCs before emoting.

How to start Worldsoul: Undermine quest in WoW The War Within

To pick up Worldsoul: Undermine Explorer in WoW, head to Dornogal and find Faerin Lothar at the central quest hub in the city. You’ll need to complete Renown of Khaz Algar and The Call of the Worldsoul before this quest will become available for you to pick up.

When you’ve got the quest in your log, teleport to the Undermine to get started. You can use your Hearthstone or the Dornogal teleporter to do this.

The sub-task requires you to dance with three denizens of Undermine. You need to track down eligible NPCs and hit the dance emote, either standing near them or directly targeting them while typing the command in chat.

You’re looking for NPCs with Resident in their name, like Undermine Resident and Destitute Resident. Random NPCs like vendors and quartermasters will not count towards the completion of this task, so double check the name before you start.

The most popular place to head for this task is the Incontinental Hotel, but we managed to complete it very quickly while questing in Bilgewater Flats.

When you find eligible NPCs, type “/dance” in the chat or choose the dance option from the list of emotes in the chat bar.

This will prompt the NPC to dance with you—and if you’re doing this in a busy area, chances are you’ll get several other NPCs running over to you to join in with the dance. As they do this, keep an eye on the quest on the right-hand side of your screen to see the number tick up.

All tasks in Worldsoul: Undermine

Once you’ve sorted the dancing with denizens of the Undermine task, you can work on completing the other tasks in the quest. As a refresher, these are:

  • Holding a Drift in your D.R.I.V.E. vehicle for 10 counts—it doesn’t have to be consecutive, so you can grab this while driving around the Undermine streets easily
  • Kicking a discarded can
  • Tickling Paks Topskimmer, who can be found in the Incontinental Hotel
  • Getting kicked out of the Gallagio

For the last task, all you need to do is attempt to enter the giant building. The enforcers on the door will boot you out immediately as you try to enter. Don’t try to zoom past them in your vehicle, as some users have reported getting stuck inside the building.

When every task has been ticked off the list, head back to Dornogal to wrap everything up. Speak to Faerin once again to turn in the quest and pick up your rewards. You’ll get a Pinnacle Cache here, making this a worthwhile task to tick off your list.
