This is the perfect event for anyone who wants to secure a Ponyta or a Galarian Ponyta. The best way to ensure you walk away with one you want to use in battles against Team Rocket or other players is to buy the Community Day Ticket, which is a great option and only costs $1 in Pokémon Go. The big change for this event is it opens up Ponyta and Galarian Ponyta to learn how to use Wild Charge. This Electric-type attack debuffs the user by lowering their defense whenever they use it. It can be a massive hit for these Pokémon but makes it more difficult for Flying or Water-types during a battle.

Both Pokémon benefit from this attack as Water-types can put significant pressure on them. Although Wild Charge does lower their defense in the short run, the amount of damage it can do can turn the tide of a battle in Pokémon Go, proving to be a huge boon for these Pokémon. We recommend teaching Rapidash and Galarian Rapidash Wild Charge, making it a much more appealing Pokémon against other trainers.

If you don’t already have a decent Ponyta or Galarian Ponyta, buying the Community Day ticket is a great way to secure one before the weekend ends. You’ll be able to empower it with enough candies to evolve it, and they can learn Wild Charge, becoming a better choice against Water-types moving forward. These two Pokémon don’t see a huge amount of play in the Great or Ultra Leagues, but Wild Charge makes them far more desirable choices, especially given their robust moveset. They can fit in several unique teams but don’t expect to use them in the Pokémon Go‘s Master League.
