Georgii “ShaDowBurn” Gushcha, Joe “Joemeister” Gramano, and Park “DayFly” Jeong-Hwan have been released from Philadelphia Fusion. All three players have been a part of the roster since November 2017. Both DayFly and Joemeister played support for the Comcast Spectacor-owned team, while ShaDownBurn played DPS. ShaDownBurn’s departure from the team is the most shocking, given his status in the league as one of the more talented DPS players.

“Our success in the inaugural Overwatch League season could not have been achieved without their dedication,” the organization wrote on Twitter. “They will always be part of the Fusion family and we wish them the best.”

Philadelphia Fusion qualified for the Overwatch League’s inaugural season playoffs in Brooklyn, New York. The roster, known for their chaotic and emotional playstyle, fell to London Spitfire in the grand finals event at the Barclays Center. Overall, the roster had an up-and-down season, but pulled things together when it mattered most—for the Overwatch League playoffs.

Roster news continues to roll in ahead of the free agency period, scheduled to officially kick off on Sept. 9. On Sept. 9, any player without an Overwatch League roster will enter free agency. Expansion teams and current Overwatch League teams will be able to pick up free agents from this pool. In October, players outside Overwatch League and Contenders will enter the free agent pool.

No start date has been announced for the Overwatch League’s second season.
