The OWCS Mid-Season Championship took place at the EWC this year, where the top 16 teams from around the world faced each other and fought for the prestigious title.

While the first 14 slots were initially confirmed, the last two slots were reserved for the FACEIT League LATAM and EWC LCQ winners. Team Falcons emerged as the winners of the EWC LCQ, and they fought hard and ultimately won the Grand Final as well, with Kim “Proper” Dong-hyun winning the Sony Tournament MVP award.

The Overwatch 2 event at the Esports World Cup 2025 took place from July 31 to Aug. 3.

Initially, the Group Stage was held until Aug 1, followed by the Quarterfinals on Aug 2, and ultimately the Semifinals and Grand Final on Aug 3.
