The Overwatch Anniversary 2018 event is less than a week away, and Blizzard has begun counting down the days with skin reveals.
Soldier: 76 is the first Overwatch hero to get an Anniversary skin. The epic-ranked skin is called Venom Soldier: 76. “We’re just a week away from Overwatch Anniversary 2018,” Blizzard wrote on its European Overwatch Twitter account. “Join us in the celebration as we count down with two new skin reveals.”

Venom Soldier: 76 is more of a recoloring then anything else, but the skin does give Soldier: 76 a snake-influenced face mask and a redesigned jacket icon. (There’s a cobra with red eyes on the back of his jacket for the Venom skin.)
Blizzard revealed earlier in the week that Overwatch will get 11 new skins in the Overwatch Anniversary 2018 event—three epic skins and eight legendary skins. Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan teased a potential formal wear skin for one Overwatch hero (maybe Doomfist), but left us in the dark on the others.
If things go as they have for previous Overwatch events, we can expect a new skin reveal each day in the lead-up to the event. The European Overwatch account said it’s got two reveals, and it’s possible another one will drop today.
The Overwatch Anniversary event is also expected to bring back all of the game’s previous seasonal cosmetics. If you missed a skin from either of Overwatch’s events, this is your chance to grab it. Likewise, Blizzard will re-introduce a select number of Overwatch brawls to the game’s arcade during the event.
Overwatch Anniversary 2018 will run from May 22 to June 11.
