Are there any codes in Overwatch 2?

No, Overwatch 2 does not feature any codes that you can redeem for rewards. However, the game does feature the code functionality for queuing into specific custom games. You can use this feature through the Workshop option.

Apart from this, Overwatch 2 has never featured codes that you can redeem for any form of rewards. Nevertheless, occasional rewards are not uncommon from Blizzard, and you can redeem them from the Battle.net platform when and if promotional codes are released.

Codes in Battle.net

There are three options that you can choose from when it comes to redeeming codes on Battle.net. These codes can earn various rewards, including game keys, Blizzard Balance, game time, gift and promo codes, and more. Here’s how you can redeem these codes.

Battle.net website

Here’s the series of steps you need to follow to redeem your codes from the Battle.net website:

  • Head over to the Battle.net website and log in to your account.
  • Open the Account Overview page.
  • Enter the code you have in the Redeem a Code box and click on Redeem Code.

Battle.net Desktop app

Here’s the series of steps you have to follow to redeem codes on the Battle.net desktop app:

  • Install the Battle.net desktop app on your PC and log in to your account.
  • Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the app and select Redeem Code.
  • Paste your code and hit Enter to redeem the code.

Battle.net Mobile app

Here’s how you can redeem codes on the Battle.net mobile app:

  • Install the Battle.net mobile app and log in to your account.
  • Head over to your Profile and expand the Account section.
  • Select the Redeem Code option and paste your code to redeem it.

What to do if my code is not working

There may be a few situations where you are unable to redeem your code on Battle.net. Here are a few common factors that you need to ensure before trying to redeem any code:

  • Some codes are region-specific, so make sure you are in the proper region.
  • Promotional codes have an expiry date. Double-check the validity of your code.

The only use of codes in Overwatch 2 itself is for playing specific custom games in private lobbies. Here’s the process for using codes:

  • Launch Overwatch 2 and click on Play.
  • Select the Custom Games option and then click on Create.
  • Once you have created a custom lobby, head over to the Settings.
  • Click on the Import Code option in the Settings menu.
  • Copy and paste the code for the specific custom game you want to play and hit Enter.

Following this series of steps will enable you to set up a custom lobby for any game mode on any map you wish to play. There are plenty of codes available for various types of custom games, and you can find most of them on the official Overwatch 2 Workshop discussions page. Apart from this, there are no other uses for codes directly in the game.
