How to get Rain Man in Once Human

Cry me a river.

The Rain Man Deviant in Once Human is a fantastic companion for your crops, but getting your hands on one could be tricky.

There are many Deviants in Once Human with the ability to aid your base, and Rain Man is one of them who will look after your crops. It maintains the right amount of irrigation for your plants, which is imperative for a great harvest, giving you more yield per sowing.

Here’s everything you need to know about Rain Man’s Locations in Once Human.

All Rain Man Deviant Locations in Once Human

To get your hands on the Rain Man, you’ll need to defeat the elite enemy called Rainfall Reaper, who appears in various locations all over the map. But the Deviant is not a guaranteed spawn similar to the Artisan’s Touch Deviant, which is only obtained by killing one specific type of Deviant. It’s a rare drop, so you have to kill many Rainfall Reapers to have a decent shot at getting the Rain Man to your arsenal at the mercy of the RNG gods.

You can find the Rain Man Deviant at these locations in Once Human

  • Harbor Side: The Rainfall Reaper can be spotted on the beach along with other Deviants near the big ship. (Coordinates: 5926, -7170)
  • Sutherland Chemical Plant: You have to climb the stairs to the top from the north and find the storage crates that the Rainfall Reaper guards. There is also a Morphic crate hiding in plain sight on the platform so you can also follow the yellow flickering light on your backpack to find this place. (Coordinates: 4930, -6198)
  • Greywater Industrial Zone: The Rainfall Reaper spawns near the white-colored pipelines towards the southern side of the point of interest. There are storage crates to loot on an elevated platform near this area, making it a good place to farm for resources. (Coordinates: 4697, -3144)
  • Securement Silo Phi: While clearing the dungeon, you should meet the Rainfall Reaper when you enter the seepage area. (Coordinates: 5149, -2977)

The Rainfall Reaper can be a lethal foe, especially if you don’t burst it down immediately. So be sure to kill the enemy with a single clip to avoid giving it space to retaliate on you. It throws umbrellas with high-impact damage and knocks you down instantly.

How to use the Rain Man Deviant in Once Human

If you have your hands on the Rain Man Deviant, it’s time to store it in the Isolated Securement Unit and plant some crops on loamy soil or planter boxes. Once the deviant power of the Rain Man is above 30, it should directly go to your crops and rain over them to maintain the perfect amount of irrigation to give you a good yield. As the Deviant takes care of watering, you can focus on more important tasks at hand rather than checking your crops manually.

While your base in the starting region like Dayton Wetlands should get ample rain naturally, if you move your house to higher-level areas like Blackheart and Red Sands in search of oil, your area would get next to no rainfall, making you manually water the plants, which can be a tedious process. That’s where Rain Man comes in clutch.

You can pair the Rain Man with Growshroom and Buzzy Bee Deviants to completely automate your farms. If you have an abundance of electricity in your base in the late game, though, you’d have better solutions at your disposal. You can also unlock the Automatic Irrigation facility in your Memetics Tree to do the same job but the Rain Man serves you well in the early game.
