The Artisan’s Touch Deviant in Once Human is incredibly useful for repairing your gear, but getting your hands on it could be a challenging endeavor.Â
There are tons of Deviants to capture and use in Once Human, but the game doesn’t make it clear where you can get them. You cannot find the Artisan’s Touch in the wild, and you’ll need to defeat a particular type of enemy to obtain it. If you want an easy, permanent repair solution for your weapons and gear, you’ve come to the right place.
Where to find Artisan’s Touch in Once Human
You need to defeat the Scorcher elite enemy in Once Human to get te Artisan’s Touch Deviant. However, and here’s the kicker, it is not a guaranteed drop from the Scorcher, so you’ll need to eliminate multiple Scorchers to enhance your odds of securing the Deviant. We got our Artisan’s Touch Deviant after eliminating 14 Scorchers, so it could be quite the grind if the RNG gods aren’t in your favor.
Here are three locations where you can find the Scorcher and farm it to get the Artisan’s Touch in Once Human:
- Hearst Industries: This location is beginner-friendly and you can find it located just north of Meyer’s Market. You can find the Scorcher inside the Area-1 garage. (Coordinates: 6131, -6017)
- Eastern Railway Junction: You can find the Scorcher near the Railway tracks near the heap of Sand. If you sneak up on it, you can catch it by surprise as he just sits around the area without patrolling. (Coordinates: 4524, -5354)
- Greywater Industrial Zone: The location has slightly higher level enemies, so we don’t recommend this area unless you’re level 20 or above. You can find the Scorcher in front of the industries near the ledge where he patrols the area. (Coordinates: 4715, -3048)
You can also find the Scorcher in one of the side quests as a boss, giving you a shot at getting the Deviant. The Scorcher erupts lava in his attacks and shoots beams, so make sure you use a combat Deviant and eliminate it without putting yourself at risk.Â
How to use Artisan’s Touch in Once Human
Like Digby Boy and other Deviants who stay in your base, the Artisan’s Touch can be stored in an Isolated Securement Unit to passively produce Universal Toolkit.
You can use any of the Supply Workbenches to use these Universal toolkits along with Acid, Stardust Source, and any crystal to craft an All-Purpose Hand that instantly repairs your lowest durable gear, saving you plenty of resources. Based on the quality of the crystal you use to make the All-Purpose Hand, you can repair that tier of gear instantly, so keep that in mind while crafting the item and using it. The higher the quality of crystals, the better quality of armor it repairs. The lower-quality crystals cannot repair your legendary gear.
You can also provide 10W of Electricity and keep the Deviant near a hot Furnace to enhance its efficiency.
