Riot’s European esports production team have just released yet another video to promote the first season of the newly-franchised and rebranded League of Legends European Championship. It’s titled “It’s Time.”

This time, there’s sadly no Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño Martínez in the bathtub, or Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski at the launderette, but it doesn’t matter. It’s extremely hype, resembling the high-quality production from South Korea’s OnGameNet for the League of Legends Champions Korea.

The video features some of the fan favorite European teams and players, facing off against each other in a darkened arena. Each player’s face is lit up by the colors of their team’s insignia, as they stand with their arms crossed, staring at the camera. A jittering and flashing animated thunderstorm erupts while the voiceovers of the players echo throughout.

It ends with a disgruntled Martin “Rekkles” Larsson, star AD Carry for Fnatic, eyeing up Luka “Perkz” Perković of G2 Esports—who switched position in the off-season—ready to start a fight.

The LEC begins this Friday, Jan. 18, with Fnatic, the reigning champions of Europe, taking on a newly formed SK Gaming—a team full of rookie talent—at 11am CT.
