How to complete Entertain Matches in FragPunk

Entertain matches are a particular game mode which are part of the missions you have to complete for exclusive rewards.

A trickier task you’ll have to do in FragPunk is to complete Entertain Matches, which are not fully explained when playing the game. The task is part of a handful of challenges to complete in the game that require you to perform specific duties.

This all comes down to difficulty with translation, and it is easy to miss what you have to do for this particular challenge. For anyone attempting to complete the Porcelain Hunting reward track with the hopes of unlocking the Mad Dog-S-Azure Blossom or the Discipline Blossom skins, you’ll want to make sure you complete this before the rewards disappear, along with other challenges that will likely feature this task. Here’s what you need to know about what it means to complete Entertain Matches in FragPunk.

When you see the phrase “Entertain Matches,” it actually means you need to complete Arcade Matches. These are a specific game mode you can work through in FragPunk outside of standard matches. As the time of writing, the arcade game mode you can choose to participate in is called Rocketeers, wher everyone in the match plays as the same Lancer, Broker. No one is allowed to use any type of firearm during the match outside of Broker’s abilities and his knife.

There are a handful of Shard Cards activated for the match: Regenerative Therapy, Clone Tech, Slide, Superfly, Mass Cheetah, and Infinite Skill. These are available to everyone playing this game mode to make it more interesting.

The arcade game mode changes every 72 hours. If you choose to read the current arcade game mode description, you can see the full rotation and how the game mode works. Because you only need to complete two matches in arcade mode, you only need to participate in them at least twice before switching back to standard FragPunk games featuring your favorite Lancers.

How to play Entertain Matches in FragPunk

When you’re ready to participate in the arcade game, make your way over to the play option on the main menu, and you can see the available choice at the middle of the screen. It should have the arcade rotation icon next to it on the top left of its name, giving you a small preview of what you’re about to queue up and play.

If you want to learn more about this game mode, right-click while hovering over the icon to read all the details before playing the FragPunk game. You’ll be able to see the gameplay requirements, active Shard Cards, and when the next arcade game mode will rotate.

These are designed to let you have fun with the overall gameplay of FragPunk in a mode where you don’t take the game too seriously. During my time while I was playing, I went with the Rocketeer mode, where everyone played as the Broker. As someone who hadn’t played this Lancer before, it was jarring to have to learn his abilities to understand how to get the most out of a game without using firearms. However, it let me learn how to be creative with his skills, and I can hopefully bring those over into a standard match, even if the same Shard Cards won’t be available.
