All consumables and what they do in FragPunk

There are a handful of consumable items you can use while playing FragPunk, and we break down what they do during a match.

There are several consumable items in FragPunk you can use during matches, which are fun items you can activate with your teammates, and knowing what all of them do just helps you show off a little bit more.

A consumable won’t directly impact the match you’re playing, but they’re a fun addition to sweep into the mix while you’re waiting for a match to start. So far, consumables are flavor items, and they don’t give your side an advantage against enemies, unlike the abilities your characters, the Lancers, have. These are mostly used to celebrate with your friends while you’re playing. Here’s what you need to know about all consumables, and what they do in FragPunk.

You can find your available consumables underneath the arsenal main menu option on the front page. Head to your arsenal, and then select the emotes section. There’s a full breakdown of every limited item you have on your account, and on the left-hand side, scroll to the bottom icon to see every consumable item you have. You can choose which ones you want to add to your emote wheel, which you can use during a FragPunk match.

When hovering over any of the consumables, double-click the icons in your inventory to add them to the emote wheel. You can then activate your emote wheel by clicking the B button on your keyboard and selecting the item you want to use. Your character goes into a brief animation where they use the item. For example, if they were to use the Firecracker, they’d put away their primary weapon and have the firecracker out, which displays an arc showing where it’ll land and display when you fire it. You don’t want to use the firecracker when you’re fighting enemies, but it’s fun to do while waiting for a match to start.

If you don’t know what a consumable does and haven’t used one yet, on the top right, there’s a small film clip icon you can press to watch a short clip of how it works. You can do this for every consumable item in FragPunk. There’s a number associated next to every consumable item, showing how many uses you have left.

You can only earn consumables from working through the current battle pass, which is free in FragPunk. More will likely appear as the game continues and as the developers create more rewards and battle passes. As it stands, firecrackers and fireworks are the first available ones. You can always hover over any consumable item to learn more about it before placing it on your emote wheel, or use one during an AI match to test the effects. You can use them on any character you’ve unlocked in FragPunk.

These are all the consumable items you can use while playing FragPunk. You do need to unlock these items before you use them.

Consumable ItemEffect
FirecrackerA handheld fire rocket that you can fire up into the air that displays a brief word or phrase. When using this item, you holster your current weapon to fire it.
FireworkA fire rocket that you can place on the ground, and it’ll activate after several seconds. The firework is much safer to activate during a firefight than the firecracker but has fewer uses.
