Apex Legends has dominated the landscape of gaming over the past week and is growing at an alarming rate.

Currently, Apex has over 25 million players and two million concurrent users, all since the game launched on February 5. While nothing is certain, Nintendo Switch players may be the next to join in on the Apex Legends fun.

The game is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as PC through the Origin store. According to an interview with Eurogamer, Apex Legends lead producer Drew McCoy is interested in making the game available on Nintendo Switch.

When asked about the possibility of Apex becoming available on Nintendo Switch or mobile, McCoy told the site that while they would love to have the game on Switch, there was nothing he could currently talk about.

This could lead many to speculate that Respawn may already be in talks with Nintendo about the possibility of Apex joining the Switch platform. The Switch is no stranger to the battle royale genre, as Fortnite has been available on the system since last year. Nintendo also recently announced the addition of a new Tetris battle royale dubbed Tetris 99. This game allows players to compete at Tetris until there is one player left standing.

While the Switch may already have a few battle royale options available in Fortnite and Tetris 99, Apex Legends is a very different type of game. Each of these games are unique enough to appeal to players for different reasons, so having Apex join the ranks could be a very wise move.
