Pokémon Go is set to add Galar Pokémon for the first time in three years as part of its new season, Max Out.
The season begins on Sept. 3 at 10am local time and begins by adding Scorbunny, Grookey, Sobble, and Dreepy into the game alongside all of its evolution. Outside of that and the introduction of Dynamax, not much is known about the season.
When does Pokémon Go’s Max season end?
Max Out is set to end on Dec. 3, 2024, at 10am local time. When it ends, a brand new season of Pokémon Go begins, with the theme for that season unknown at the time of writing.
As mentioned, the season focuses on the Galar region, with Dynamax and Gigantamax set to appear throughout the three months. Dynamax is being added into the game for the first time on Sept. 10, and various events are planned to come out from September to December that’ll add new Dynamax Pokémon and new Galar Pokémon into the game for the first time.
There are also new shiny Galar Pokémon debuts coming in September alone. Shiny Wooloo, Skovet, and Falinks will all appear throughout the month. Still, newer Pokémon like Scorbunny and Dreepy might need to wait over a year until they finally get added alongside their other shiny Galar counterparts.
Shiny Zacian also appears in raids in September for the first time, with shiny Zamazenta expected to appear in October. We are also awaiting the first details for Eternatus and other Galar legendary Pokémon that might have been initially teased during the Pokémon World Championships in August.
In short, there’s a lot to look forward to and a long while to go before the season comes to an end.
