The Psychic Spectacular 2024 event returns to Pokémon Go during the Max Out season, giving you the chance to catch multiple Psychic-type Pokémon. Not only are there several returning Pokémon, but Hatenna and Dynamax Beldum are making their debut.
Hatenna will be the more common Pokémon you can find while participating in the event. If you catch enough Hatenna, you can evolve it into its final form, Hatterene. There will also be a Collection Challenge, a Special Research for you to purchase, and several bonuses for everyone to have a reason to jump into the game. The event kicks off on Sept. 18 and goes until Sept. 22. Here’s what you need to know about everything for Pokémon Go‘s Psychic Spectacular 2024 event.
All wild encounters and eggs for Psychic Spectacular 2024 in Pokémon Go
While you’re out exploring your neighborhood during Pokémon Go‘s Psychic Spectacular 2024 event, there are several Pokémon that have a chance to spawn along your path. Some have a better chance than others showing up, such as Hatenna. Unfortunately, despite it making its debut, only lucky trainers have a chance to find it. You might have a better chance of getting it from 7km eggs, or by completing event-exclusive Field Research tasks.
These are all Pokémon spawning in the wild during the Psychic Spectacular 2024 event. We’ve added an asterisk (*) next to their name to indicate whether they have a chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon or not.

There are also 7km eggs Pokémon encounters you can get during the event, but these need to be eggs you receive from other players during the event. Any egg exchanged to you before Sept. 18 or after Sept. 22 do not have a chance to contain any of these Pokémon.

All new Pokémon for Psychic Spectacular 2024 in Pokémon Go
Two Pokémon are making their debut during the event: Hatenna and Dynamax Beldum. Hatenna will be trickier to track down. If you’re lucky, you can catch it in the wild, and you can also hatch it from 7km eggs or earn it as a reward from completing event-exclusive Field Research tasks. The event-exclusive Field Research tasks should have a specific banner around them in Pokémon Go, making them easier to stand out, and they drop from spinning PokéStops and Gym dials.
Dynamax Beldum will be easier to find. It will be appearing in Power Spots during the event, which randomly appear throughout your local area. You’ll see a timer on these Power Spots to see how long you have until they disappear, but you will need Max Particles and Dynamax Pokémon to challenge Dynamax Beldum in Pokémon Go.
All Psychic Spectacular 2024 bonuses in Pokémon Go
Anyone who plays Pokémon Go during the Psychic Spectacular 2024 event time receives a handful of passive bonuses, regardless if they try any of the content or not. You only need to log into the game, and start playing. These are all the bonuses every Pokémon Go player will receive.
- Additional Candy for Nice Throws or better
- Increased chance for trainers level 31 or up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better
- Twice as much Stardust for catching Pokémon
