Pokémon GO leakers have spotted assets in the game files that offer the first look at Dynamaxing in the mobile title, five years after the mechanic was first introduced in Pokémon Sword & Shield.
Niantic’s mobile game is very popular in the Pokémon world. Still, it remains off-pace with Nintendo’s mainline releases, with additions to the Pokémon GO Pokédex being sporadic and difficult to predict.
It appears major content is on the horizon, however, with leakers identifying assets for Dynamax mechanics in Pokémon GO which, as expected, look likely to introduce yet another type of raid to the game.
Raids in Pokémon GO have seen several changes since they were first introduced, including the introduction of Shadow Raids and Mega Pokémon, and Dynamaxing looks set to become the latest in the mix.
Among the assets are station icons, raid emblems, and max move sound effects, suggesting we’ll see additional moves coming to Pokémon GO. But the big news is that it seems a huge indication of what the next season in the game will feature.
Pokémon GO’s Shared Skies season began on June 1 and is due to run until Sept. 3. That means there’s just over a month remaining in the current season, and August is significant for Pokémon with the Worlds in Hawaii later this month.
That would be a great opportunity to drop information on the next season in Pokémon GO which, if Dynamaxing is coming, surely means the long-awaited arrival of Gen Eight Pokémon to the title.
Several Pokémon from the Galar region are already in Pokémon GO, including the likes of Regieleki, Skwovet, Wooloo, and Falinks, but the majority remain absent. That includes all three Galar starters and their evolutions.
The imminent arrival of Dynamax elements in Pokémon GO is encouraging for Grookey fans (like me) who are desperate to see them join, and hopefully, we’ll hear official news soon.
