The Americans are ready for the international competition.

The United States may not be represented at the FIFA World Cup this summer, but Team USA will battle other top nations at the 2018 Overwatch World Cup.

During a special Independence Day livestream, the United States’ OWWC roster was revealed, welcoming 12 of the best American players to the lineup. Of the 12, several are returning from past Overwatch World Cup rosters, including Jay “sinatraa” Won and Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty.

The lineup was split into three different positions: tank, DPS, and support. Each position has four players, with nearly all of the players being featured on either an Overwatch League roster or in the Contenders series.

Here is the official Team USA squad:

Houston Outlaws’ Austin “Muma” Wilmot headlines the tank position players, and is joined by Caleb “McGravy” McGarvey, Indy “SPACE” Halpern, and Matthew “super” DeLisi.

Sinatraa returns as part of the DPS rotation, bringing along Zachary “ZachaREEE” Lombardo, João Pedro “Hydration” Goes Telles, and SF Shock teammate Dante “Danteh” Cruz.

Rawkus, Nikola “sleepy” Andrews, Elijah Hudson “Elk” Gallagher, and Grant “moth” Espe round out the roster as the support players.

Team USA had a relatively disappointing top eight finish at last year’s Overwatch World Cup, so they will definitely be looking to improve this year. But with such talented rosters already announced, most notably defending champions South Korea, it may be even tougher this year.
