Chinese DPS player Fang “Undead” Chao will return to China due to “personal issues”, Shanghai Dragons announced on Twitter last night. Undead is expected to miss two games, which will finish off the Overwatch League’s second stage. He’ll likely return for stage three in early April.

Shanghai Dragons are now out both DPS players, as Lu “Diya” Weida is still in China for a “family emergency.” It’s unclear when Diya will return. A day before Diya’s departure, Shanghai Dragons also dropped their head coach, Chen “U4” Congshan. Shanghai Dragons still have not won a match in the Overwatch League.

Four new players are expected to join Shanghai Dragons for the start of stage three, including Overwatch League’s first female player, Kim “Geguri” Se-yeon. Visa issues caused delays for the players, but the team expects them to arrive in the United States before the end of March. They’ll likely debut, then, in Overwatch League’s third stage which begins April 4. Shanghai Dragons will face Dallas Fuel, another of the league’s struggling teams.

The Chinese team faces a rough week ahead in an already tough season. Down two DPS players, it seems unlikely Shanghai Dragons will be able to score their first win before stage two ends.
