How to drop items in Schedule 1

Make sure that you don't run out of storage in Schedule 1.

Schedule 1 is all about dealing drugs to build your empire. But there are quite a few things that you need to be careful about in your pursuit of creating a name for yourself. One of those things is inventory management, allowing you to keep your storage free from unnecessary junk.

To manage your inventory, you need to know how to get rid of items from your storage that are of no value. Here’s how to drop items in Schedule 1 and create space in your inventory.

Can you throw objects in Schedule 1?

The game does not make its mechanics obvious, probably because it needs some more fine-tuning on the smaller details as an early access title. It’s unclear, but unfortunately, you cannot throw objects in Schedule 1. However, you can discard items and get rid of them completely.

Although you cannot throw items on the floor or at your enemies, you can still empty your inventory by permanently destroying unwanted objects. It’s quite a catch because you’re discarding items completely, not simply removing them from your inventory. Do not click the Discard button so willingly unless you know you’re sure you’re holding onto junk items.

How to discard items in Schedule 1

Now that you’re sure about parting ways with a particular item in-game, here’s the step-by-step process to discard your extra items and make space for essentials in Schedule 1:

  • Press the Tab key to open your smartphone.
  • Click on the Inventory app on the smartphone. You can also access the inventory directly by pressing the I key.
  • You will be able to see a red button marked ‘Discard.’
  • Now you can simply click to drag and drop any item that you wish to get rid of on the red button.

There’s a timer in case you make a mistake in deleting an important item. You can’t recover discarded items, so be careful not to accidentally discard essential resources. Additionally, you can right-click on a specific item to choose how much of it you want to throw.

Maintaining enough space in your inventory is very important, as that helps you store and carry essential resources. You should use more crates and shelves to manage your storage more efficiently. Apart from that, you should also refrain from holding on to items of no value and that are unlikely to impact your empire’s growth.

How to drop junk items to make money

Considering how dropping any item makes it lost to the void forever, there are better means of utilizing the drop mechanic. You can find trash bins all around the map. Dropping cardboard and boxes in it will grant you some cash in exchange. It’s easy money, and for a game all about gaining funds as quickly as possible, but through drug selling only, we highly suggest keeping this in mind.

Additionally, spending $50 on the Trash Grabber from Dan’s Hardware makes scooping up trash a breeze. Drop off all the trash you’ve collected using the Trash Grabber at a local compactor and see even more money coming your way. This makes managing your inventory less challenging since you can now neatly organise the majority of your items as valuables or junk to bin. Don’t drop anything in Schedule 1 unless you have absolutely no use for it.
