PEAK is holding its place as one of the most played games on Steam, and for good reason. The game’s climbing mechanics, paired with the co-op settings that allow you to play with your friends, make it a delightful experience. However, if you’re looking to further enhance your experience with mods, we have you covered.
Ranging from increased lobby size to in-game console commands, there are plenty of mods for you to try in PEAK. However, all of these mods are made by third-party devs and not the official publishers, meaning that you should be extra careful about using mods.
Here’s everything you need to know about the best PEAK mods available.

Best mods for PEAK

Given that PEAK was released recently, the number of mods available for the game is small. However, with the choices available already, it is safe to say that plenty of other mods, and even better ones, are on the horizon and will be released soon.
For now, though, these are the best PEAK mods you can use for various purposes:
- Console Unlocker: This mod allows you to unlock several console commands that can be used for a variety of reasons. Ranging from teleportation to item spawns, there are plenty of tasks that can be completed a lot quicker with this mod.
- PEAK Unbound: This is a fairly small mod, but it allows you to change the configuration file to rebind your in-game controls. The game itself does not allow you to rebind your controls, so this mod is the most effective way to do so.
- PEAK Unlimited: If you are tired of the limited four-player lobbies, then this mod is for you. It allows you to host lobbies that allow up to 20 players to join the same game. Additionally, only the person hosting the lobby needs to have this mod installed for others to join the expanded lobby, even if they don’t have the mod installed themselves.
- Easy Backpack: One of the pain points of PEAK is having to drop the backpack every time you wish to access its contents. However, this mod makes your life a lot easier as it allows you to access the contents of your backpack without having to put it down.
- NoFallDamage: Being a game focused on climbing a hill, the fall damage in PEAK is rather high and can be frustrating. This mod makes sure that you never have to worry about accidentally falling off during the climb and losing health.
These are some of the most useful mods that you can currently use in PEAK. While there are certain other mods like those that allow you to fly or prevent any form of stamina loss, they do take out a huge chunk of the game’s core mechanics that make it fun.
How to use PEAK mods
You can use all of the mods mentioned above in PEAK using one simple method. Here’s the step-by-step process to install and use mods:
- Head over to the official BepInEx thread on GitHub and download the latest version that is suitable for your PC.
- Extract the .zip file you downloaded into the installation directory for PEAK.
- Launch and then close PEAK once to set up the mod manager. Also, create a separate folder for plugins inside the BepInEx folder you extracted earlier.
- Simply download and paste the mod files inside the plugins folder to get them to work in the game.
Follow these steps to ensure that all your mods work perfectly. In case you run into bugs or glitches, simply remove the mod files and try again.
