Andrew “TidesofTime” Biessener, one of two Cloud9 representatives in the HPL, has been dropped from the league after failing to play three scheduled matches. Cloud9 were offered the chance to send a replacement from their team, but according to captain Marcin “Gnimsh” Filipowicz, they did not have a player available to take the spot.

With Cloud9 not taking the slot, HPL reached out to Nihilum’s Dima “Rdu” Radu, who will now compete in the league.

Radu will inherit Biessener’s 0-3 record. Radu defeated James “Greensheep” Luo 3-2 last night in his first match up.

For Biessener, this is the latest in a sporadic competitive career since jumping from Tempo Storm to Cloud9 last October. After winning the World Esports Championships last September he has appeared in just a handful of tournaments.

According to Filipowicz, Biessener has encountered “complications” while moving across the U.S. and that this was something the team planned to address for the future.
