Andrew “Kitkatz” Deschanel is joining the team, filling the vacant spot on the team left by Christopher “PHONETAP” Huynh who left to join Luminosity Gaming on July 12.

Hearthlytics tweeted a silhouette of its new signing earlier this week. Many speculated the photos was of Deschanel, and sources have now confirmed the signing to the Daily Dot.

Deschanel is a Hearthstone journeyman. Originally a part of the Clarity Gaming squad that took part in ESGN Fight Night, he was later on the rosters of Team Curse and Tempo Storm.

After six months with Tempo Storm, the team dropped Deschanel from the roster. According to the team, this was because Deschanel had been unwilling to fulfill contractual agreements or other promises with regards to his duties on behalf of the team.

His relationship with his team had become strained after he moved into the team house of close rivals Archon. Many believed Deschanel would sign with Archon, but Jason “Amaz” Chan’s team has apparently passed, and Deschanel recently left the team house.
