Festival Flight god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2

It may look like a water gun, but it packs a punch.

The Area-Denial grenade launchers became the next hot thing in Destiny 2 when Lost Signal first released. They can cover a lot of ground and keep waves of enemies at bay with a single shot. If you’re looking for a Strand special weapon for your loadout, look no further than Festival Flight.

Festival Flight is a first Strand Area-Denial grenade launcher, akin to Lost Signal from Echoes and VS Velocity Baton from Vesper’s Host dungeon. Perk-wise, Festival Flight is very similar to Lost Signal, so you choose depending on the element you need.

Here are our Festival Flight god rolls for PvE and PvP in Destiny 2.

Festival Flight PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Perk one: Ambitious Assassin
  • Perk two: One for All
  • Masterwork: Reload Speed

Festival Flight PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Perk one: Blast Distributor
  • Perk two: Binary Orbit or Vorpal Weapon
  • Masterwork: Velocity

Festival Flight lacks in the passive reload department. Instead, there’s Ambitious Assassin. Ambitious Assassin overflows the mag after reloading based on the number of kills. Envious Arsenal is also present on this weapon, but it’s only worth using if Festival Flight ends up as a part of your damage rotation.

In the fourth column, by far the best damage perk is One for All. One for All grants a 35 percent damage buff when hitting three separate targets, and hitting multiple targets is the easiest thing to do with an Area-Denial weapon. You could also go for Attrition Orbs in the fourth column, but keep in mind that the perk has been nerfed on Area-Denial grenade launchers after VS Velocty Baton became an Orb printer.

On the PvP side, the main thing Area-Denial grenade launchers are good for is… well, denying area. The perks aren’t that great, but there is Blast Distributor in the third column, which increases your Grenade stats when dealing splash damage. It can be useful if your Grenade stat is somewhere between 70 and 100 to get a bump in energy regeneration.

In the fourth column, you could go for either Binary Orbit or Vorpal Weapon. Binary Orbit increases the weapon’s damage when getting kills with an opposite element (in this case, Solar, Arc, or Void). This can work well, considering your primary will be in the Energy slot. Alternatively, you can go for Vorpal Weapon to deny as much area as possible against players in their Supers.

How to get Festival Flight in Destiny 2

Festival Flight is available during the Solstice event in Destiny 2. The 2025 iteration of the event doesn’t have the Bonfire Bash activity anymore, so the only way for you to get event drops is by playing Portal activities that have a Distorted Solstice Engram as a bonus reward.

These Engrams can drop rewards up to Tier 5, and unlike regular Portal rewards, don’t require you to have a high Power level. At 300 Power, you can expect consistent Tier 4 drops with a rare chance of getting a Tier 5.
