Returned Memory god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2

With the introduction of gear tiers in The Edge of Fate, many of the older Destiny 2 weapons got powercrept. And because rocket sidearms are some of the best PvE weapons in the game, you might want to get a god roll of the Returned Memory to replace some of the older ones.

Returned Memory is a Solar rocket-assisted sidearm in case you missed out on Aberrant Action during Episode Echoes or need an upgrade. It has all the best perks a PvE Solar weapon might have, including Heal Clip, Lead from Gold, and Incandescent.

The PvE god roll is very straightforward: Heal Clip with Incandescent. Heal Clip grants Cure to you and nearby allies when reloading after a kill, and Incandescent spreads scorch to targets, making them go boom. You also want a Flared Magwell and a reload speed Masterwork to trigger Heal Clip faster.

Heal Clip is a top-tier perk for survivability and, paired with the damage of a rocket sidearm, is a fantastic choice for hard-difficulty content. There are other good options if you’re looking for alternatives or want to have the best Tier 5 copy there is.

Beacon Rounds in the third column grant projectiles tracking and increases reload speed. There’s also Lead from Gold, which grants Special ammo when picking up a Heavy ammo brick. In the fourth column, One for All grants a 35 percent damage increase when you hit three targets within three seconds. It may not have the AoE of Incandescent, but the perk is very easy to trigger and is a significant buff to deal with tankier targets.

Rocket sidearms have never been good in the Crucible, so don’t expect much from Returned Memory. As a projectile weapon, you want to increase velocity as much as possible to make it more consistent. Impulse Amplifier increases projectile velocity by 35 percent. Among the damage options in the fourth column, there’s Adagio for a 30 percent increased damage (but slower fire rate) after a kill.

How to get Returned Memory in Destiny 2

Returned Memory drops from Crucible Ops inside the Portal, which means you have to do some PvP grinding to get the gun. With only three playlists in the Crucible Ops, it also means that the chance of Returned Memory becoming a Bonus Focus drop is quite low. The weapon also has a chance to appear at Zavala as a weekly Vanguard Armory reward. So keep an eye out and complete your weekly challenges to have as many options as possible.
