Uncivil Discourse god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2

Who shot first?

Renegades introduced a lot of Star Wars-themed weapons to Destiny 2. There’s something for everyone, but a gun everyone should try out is the Uncivil Discourse. Modeled after Han Solo’s iconic DL-44 blaster, it’s one of the most satisfying weapons to shoot.

Uncivil Discourse is a 140 RPM Arc Special ammo hand cannon. As a blaster, it falls under the Dynamic Heat Weapon archetype, which means increased damage and cooling efficiency at the cost of increased heat generation.

Here are our Uncivil Discourse god rolls for PvP and PvE in Destiny 2.

Uncivil Discourse PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Battery: Accelerated Heatsink
  • Perk one: Air Trigger
  • Perk two: Jolting Feedback
  • Masterwork: Cooling Efficiency

Uncivil Discourse PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Battery: Overclocked Heatsink
  • Perk one: Lone Wolf
  • Perk two: Desperate Measures or Precision Instrument
  • Masterwork: Range

Uncivil Discourse has high stats across the board. With the Cooling Efficiency Masterwork and Accelerated Heatsink, you won’t have to worry even about heat management. Instead, you can improve ammo economy with Air Trigger. Bonus reload speed is nice, but not as needed as 30 ammo generation, almost maxing the stat out.

cooling efficiency:

The cooling efficiency stat determines how quickly the weapon cools down per second of not being fired.

In the fourth column, there’s Jolting Feedback that jolts enemies after you deal repeated damage with this weapon. Because Uncivil Discourse has 44 ammo in reserves, with an ability-based build, you can use it almost as a primary weapon.

Thermal Atomization is a new perk that increases the weapon’s damage and causes targets to explode while at high heat. The only issue here is maintaining high heat, which goes against the idea of leaning into cooling efficiency, at least with this roll. You’ll also miss out on subclass synergies.

In PvP, you need to land two precision hits and one body shot to secure a kill with Uncivil Discourse. When it comes to perks, in the third column, Lone Wolf grants five aim assist (+5 more if no allies are nearby) and ADS speed.

In the fourth column, Desperate Measures or Precision Instrument are both decent to increase your damage for cleaning up kills. Opening Shot is also present, but with the weapon reaching 95 range if you have the right barrel, battery, and Masterwork, it’s only useful for 20 aim assist.

While no Syndicate has Uncivil Discourse as a featured weapon, you can pick up additional copies at the Bazaar on Tharsis Outpost. There are a few weapon stalls on the very east side of the Bazaar, where you can get a copy of the hand cannon for 1,000 Credits. These weapons are of a lower tier, but should be enough to get you started.
