The best characters to pair with Ivy in Deadlock

The ultimate combo.

In Valve’s upcoming third-person MOBA Deadlock, there are a plethora of team compositions that can work extremely well together, especially when you’ve paired up the right hero with Ivy.

Ivy is meant to stay synergized with a teammate to be most effective on the battlefield, especially because two of her abilities work best when in tandem with a partner. Whether she’s bolstering an ally with her Watcher’s Covenant or jumping right into the action with her Air Drop ability, she can be the perfect catalyst to kickstart a teamfight.

If you’re wondering which heroes are best suited for this role, here are the best characters to pair with Ivy in Deadlock.

Best Deadlock heroes to pair with Ivy

Mo and Krill

There are multiple different characters that will work with Ivy, but none are as perfect as Mo and Krill. This unbreakable front liner is a perfect partner for Ivy because not only does she enhance their healing, but she can also drop them right in the middle of the action where they thrive best. Mo and Krill need to jump into the backline, and by flying above the enemy frontline, they get a perfect shot at any target they want to lockdown.

For a truly dynamic wombo combo, pair up Ivy with Dynamo for an incredible teamfight-starting tool that holds multiple enemies in place for massive damage. When thrown into the action with Ivy’s ultimate ability, Dynamo can activate his own ultimate to pull in a heavily entrenched group of opponents and deal a ton of burst damage. Ivy’s ultimate also slows all enemies hit, which makes it that much easier for Dynamo to pull in multiple foes at once.

Kelvin

He might be an unorthodox partner choice for Ivy, but hear me out: Once you’ve thrown Kelvin in the middle of a massive skirmish, make sure your allies are right in the mix with him. Kelvin can use his ultimate ability to create an inescapable dome around a fight, ensuring that only one team will leave victorious. He is relatively squishier than the other options, but he can be a great way to ensure other teammates secure their kills.

Haze

Once again, Haze might seem a bit too squishy to survive getting thrown into a skirmish, but with the right combination, she can immediately burst down a group of enemy carries with Ivy’s ultimate. If you see your team is winning a fight and multiple enemies are at low health, then combining Ivy and Haze’s ultimates can absolutely shred through the backline before anyone realizes what happened.

Haze is also slippery enough to escape after she’s taken down a couple of opponents, but she’ll probably need some real support to get out alive.
