BO6 is the successor to Black Ops Cold War and continues the series’ famed approach toward propaganda-filled, conspiracy-laden campaigns. Throw in the long-awaited return of round-based zombies and the debut of omnidirectional movement, and BO6 is a serious proposition.

Whether you love multiplayer, Zombies, or a hard-hitting campaign, there’s plenty to look forward to in BO6. It already feels like the hype for the next CoD is at a new high, so let’s see how much longer we have to wait until it’s here.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on Oct. 25, 2024, which is a typical Friday release like many other CoD launches. Here’s how long it is until then:

Black Ops 6 release date countdown

The countdown above is for midnight eastern time, which is usually when the game is available on consoles. It will likely feature a staggered release, depending on your region, and will be available at midnight depending on the region you live in. This means it will be available for players in New Zealand before anybody else in other regions around the world.

All about Black Ops 6 was revealed at Call of Duty Next on Aug. 28, where Activision pulled back the curtains on multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone’s future. There’s a lot to be excited about in CoD this year, and it all begins on Oct. 25.

The grind will never be bigger than it will be in BO6. There are 12 total Mastery camos to earn, with four each in multiplayer, Zombies, and for the first time, Warzone. Ranked Play is coming to multiplayer in season one, Ranked Battle Royale is coming in Season One Reloaded, and there’s even a new Warzone map coming along with season one, as well. And don’t forget about the long-awaited return of Verdansk in 2025.

What’s certain is you can play the FPS ahead of time courtesy of the Black Ops 6 beta. Details are available on how to enter, and doing so gives you a sneak peek of what’s to come in BO6′s high-octane multiplayer action.
